City of Yorba Linda

Though the City of Yorba Linda is not processing either project, they do have an important role as the City will likely annex the two projects into the City boundaries.

This City updates its website regularly.  If the links change, please use the search engine for the latest updates on both projects. The City provided an update on the projects. It is archived from the City Council meeting of January 15th.  View the meeting update (which begins at minute 26:50) from the City’s website.

Articles can also be found on the projects via the City website: Cielo Vista project and the Esperanza Hills project.

Hills For Everyone

Formed in 1977, the regional non-profit Hills For Everyone (HFE), created the now 14,100+ acre Chino Hills State Park.  When an international airport was proposed above the hills in Yorba Linda, residents around the hills banded together to stop it.  Thus began more than three decades worth of planning, advocacy and land use battles that led to the creation of the State Park.  It is no different now.  Hills For Everyone opposes both projects for numerous reasons including impacts to the State Park, increased traffic, decreased quality of life and more.  Learn more about the two projects on HFE’s website: Cielo Vista and Esperanza Hills.

In August 2012, HFE released an important fire study that documented nearly 100 years worth of wildfires that burned in and around Chino Hills State Park.  We now know where, when and why fires burned the hills.  Download this study to learn the facts.

HFE has agreed to fiscally sponsor our community organization as an interim measure.  Donations to this effort can be made through the HFE website.
