There seem to be a few rumors circulating about a variety of things related to this project. We’d like to clear the air. In this and future posts, we will be providing a Fact versus Fiction item or two.
FACT V. FICTION #1
Fiction: The Planning Commission approved the project.
Fact: The Planning Commission serves as an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors. Each Commissioner is appointed to their seat by the Supervisor for their District. At the January 14th meeting, the Commission merely “recommended approval” of the Esperanza Hills project. It has not been approved.
