August 4th City Council Meeting

Wow! Nothing, nothing, nothing, and then BAM–something big on the Yorba Linda City Council agenda related to Esperanza Hills.

We are working on overdrive right now because with last night’s City Council agenda release, we saw an Administrative Report related to grading for Esperanza Hills on City open space. See the Administrative Report, Item 14. There is no vote or action listed, so it appears to be simply an update and we are soliciting additional information from the City to clarify several things before we outline our strategy.

But one thing is clear, the City needs to hear from the residents on this! We are laying out the plan over the next 24-48 hours and will email out the details when we have them.

Please hold time on your calendar Tuesday, August 4th at 6:30 PM to participate.

The City Council is taking two types of public testimony — one is by telephone and the other is by submitting comments to be read into the record by staff. We will send out instructions to participate and talking points for you. And, we can help write speeches if you are willing to give one!

How the City responds to this request for grading rights and encroachment over the two lots on Stonehaven can make or break this project. We need you Tuesday night to get involved.

Stay tuned for more information.
