In November, Leadership Team Member Marlene Nelson appealed the Yorba Linda Planning Commission decision that a road through City Open Space/Parkland was consistent with the City General Plan. It specifically states in the City’s Municipal Code that anything NOT listed is not allowed. Roads aren’t listed. So, then we ask, how is it consistent when all City documents must be internally consistent (in other words, consistent with one another)? It isn’t.
The City will consider the appeal at it’s January 5, 2016 Meeting. We anticipate that same night that the City will also vote to approve a pre-annexation agreement with the developers of Esperanza Hills allowing that same road through City Open Space/Parkland.
