We had several speakers present right before the City Council’s Closed Session on Tuesday night urging them to stand by their position on requiring the pre-annexation agreement, opposing Option 1 (and therefore Option 1 – Modified), and to protect the residents.
We anticipate the City Council will direct staff to send a formal letter to the County at their December 6th meeting. We plan to be there, but need to see the letter before we determine our position. The agenda should come out today or tomorrow.
We know it is difficult to take time away from work and the family during the most holy month of the year. But, not showing up is exactly what they are hoping for.
There are three upcoming meetings described below. Here they are in order of priority:
- If you can only attend one meeting, please go to the Board of Supervisors Meeting (we’ve asked for a time certain on the hearing). But generally the meetings start at 9:30 AM. Esperanza Hills is Agenda Item #62.
- If you can only attend two meetings, please go to the Board of Supervisors Meeting and the City Council meeting.
We are diligently working on our speeches and our PowerPoint, but due to time constraints per speaker, we need to solidify our line up of speakers in advance of the December 13th Board of Supervisors meeting.
Because this is a public hearing we will be able to speak during the agenda item. This was in question based on the new board rule limiting speakers to a total of three minutes on all agenda items.
Please let us know if you are willing to read a pre-written speech by emailing us.
